Another great artist studio is available– this time in Washington D.C.
Details below.

The available studio is approximately 490 sq. feet.

The studios are in a rare commercial warehouse in the Brookland neighborhood of Northeast DC below Catholic University. This has been a legendary studio building for 25 years and has housed noted artists like Yuriko Yamaguchi, Kendell Buster, Siemon Allen, Tara Donovan, Jeff Spaulding, Jefferson Pinder, Patrick McDonough, W.C. Richardson, Ian Jehle, and Patrick Craig among numerous others. Walking distance to Brookland and Rhode Island Metro stations (red line).

Six private studios are in the building It is surrounded by charter schools. Street parking 1/2-1 blk away during school hours, around the corner after school and weekends. Loading dock with fenced in yard. Secure. Shared bathroom and separate sink area. Utilities (electric, water, sewage, gas for water heater) included in rent.

Building has no central heating so each studio provides their own heat. Generally kerosene with supplemental electric. Nothing has ever frozen even when the heat is off.

$300 refundable cash deposit for a “do not duplicate” security key for the front door. We all take our trash home with us.
