Trevor Young

Washington, D.C. | by April 19, 2015

I’ve always admired Trevor Young’s paintings. They’re melancholy, romantic and yes, sublime. I was thrilled to find this excellent video produced by Brave Man Media last year featuring Trevor on a photo shoot as well as in his studio.

More recently, Trevor Young was visited in his studio by Christopher Addison and Romy Silverstein of Addison Ripley Fine Art. Although there hasn’t been a formal announcement yet, I was given the green light to mention that he is now represented by them. Trevor is preparing for an upcoming solo show in January 2016, and I’m very much looking forward to being there for that exhibition.

“Painting with an old world understanding of materials and methods and a twenty-first century eye, Trevor Young sets a haunting visual stage with landscapes of heartbreaking loneliness and symbolic moment.”
