LaToya Ruby Frazier recently became a MacArthur Fellow in 2015, otherwise known as the ‘Genius Award’. Her role and work as a photographer tells important personal and political stories of her life growing up in Braddock, PA, an industrial town outside of Pittsburgh. She speaks about her work and the prize in this video made by the MacArthur Foundation.
